How to Unlock All 8 Endings in Two Playthroughs | Silent Hill 2 Remake

The remake of the classic Silent Hill 2 features the original endings plus more totaling 8 endings to unlock of this great game. In this blog post, I will talk about how to unlock all 8 endings with just two playthroughs.
These endings will unlock the following trophies:
🏆 Making Peace — Reach the “Leave” Ending
🏆 Vicious Cycle — Reach the “Maria” Ending
🏆 Only Way Out — Reach the “In Water” Ending
🏆 The Goodest Boi — Reach the “Dog” Ending
🏆 Tinfoil Hat — Reach the “UFO” Ending
🏆 Defy Even Death — Reach the “Rebirth” Ending
🏆 Party Like It’s 2001 — See all classic endings (Leave, Maria, In Water, Rebirth, Dog)
Completing New Game Plus on any difficulty will reward you the 🏆** I Saw That Town Trophy**
Main Endings in the First Playthrough
The first playthrough of the game allows you to unlock one of the three main endings.
⚠️Important Note: Once you have entered the second to final boss [There will be 9 red squares] do a manual save so you could reload from here later
1 - Maria Ending
I personally started this with the Maria Ending.
⚠️ Do not inspect Photo of Mary
⚠️ Do not inspect Angela's Knife
[a] Talk to Maria a lot after meeting her
[b] In the Brookhaven Hospital, check in on her frequently
[c] In the Labyrinth, check in on her frequently
[d] Choose "RIPE" Apple
⚠️Do a manual save [9 red squares]
[e] After the second to final boss, go through the "SCARLET EGG"
[f] Do not finish listening on the hallway before the final boss
2 - Leave Ending
Reload Manual Save
[a] Make sure to inspect Photo of Mary multiple times
I must have done it 10 times to make sure
[b] go through the "RUST-COLORED EGG"
[c] Finish listening on the hallway before the final boss
3 - In Water Ending
Reload Manual Save
[a] Inspect Angela's Knife
I did this multiple times as well just to be sure
⚠️ After the second to last boss and before the final boss, make sure you stay in LOW HEALTH
[c] Go through the "RUST-COLORED EGG"
[d] Finish listening on the hallway before the final boss
New Game Plus Endings in the Second Playthrough
There are 5 Endings you could unlock under New Game Plus. Each Ending will require you collect items to get these endings.
Here are the items that needed to be collected to unlock these endings:
Beginning of the Game

In the graveyard after meeting Angela -- by the lone grave on the shore, collect Crimson Ceremony [Rebirth]
⚠️ Collect the Chainsaw in front of Silent Hill Ranch -
After going through a metal gate, there is a green car on the Wiltse Rd., use the Chainsaw to break the windows and collect Key of Sorrow [Stillness]
South Vale (East)

Next to Big Jay's Diner is The Pet Center, at the back of the room you will find Broken Key Part (1) [Dog]

Next to the Pet Center is the Jewelers. Smash the window and collect the Blue Gem [UFO]

Roof of Saul Street Apartments, find the grafitti of an eye and interact the Blue Gem in front of it. The Gem will glow if done successfully.

At Pete's Bowl-O-Rama, there will be a safe by the counter. Enter with the code 1887 to get the Safe/Rusted Key [Bliss]
Rosewater Park
- Right as you stepped on the pier, interact and inspect the Blue Gem [UFO}
South Vale (West)

Head into Baldwin Mansion to collect White Chrism [Rebirth]

On Katz Street, in between houses, there will be a gate with a bone on it. Go through it and collect the Broken Key Part (2) [Dog]
Brookhaven Hospital
- In the Gazebo of the garden, there will be a Small Chest [Bliss]
Historical Society
- In the main room on the right facing the Pyramid Head painting will be the Obsidian Goblet in a wall crevice
After Toluca Lake
- Right after the cut scene on the pier, interact with the Blue Gem
⚠️Important Note: Right before entering Room 312, do a Manual Save
4 - Dog Ending
[a] Combine the two Broken Key Parts
[b] Enter the Observation Room
5 - UFO Ending
Reload the Manual Save
[a] Enter Room 312 and interact with the Blue Gem
6 - Bliss Ending
Reload the Manual Save
[a] Enter Room 312
[b] Open the Small Chest with the Key
[c] Drink the White Claudia before playing the video tape
7 - Stillness
Reload the Manual Save
[a] After watching the video in Room 312, Head towrds the Manager's Office and use the Key of Sorrow for the Key lock
[b] Enter Code 314
[c] Examine the Toluca Postcard
[d] Finish the Game
8 - Rebirth
Reload the Manual Save
[a] Inside The Lost & Found of Lakeside Hotel (which can be accessed through a wall by the cafe), grab Lost Memories
[b] Finish the Game
